Barbara R. Potter
Barbara R. Potter was a judge for the St. Lawrence County Family Court in New York. She served in this position from 2002 until 2012.[1] Potter decided not to seek a second 10-year term, law clerk Cecily L. Morris successfully ran for election and won Potter's seat.[2][3]
Education
Potter received her B.S. degree from St. Lawrence University in 1979 and her J.D. degree from the Syracuse University School of Law in 1978.[1]
Career
Potter began her career in 1981 as an Assistant District Attorney. She worked in that position through 1984 and then served as a Chief Assistant D.A. from 1985 to 1991 and from 1996 to 2001. She also worked as a private practice lawyer from 1979 to 2001. In 2002, she joined the Family Court.[1]
