Barbara Rachelson (Democratic Party) is a member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Chittenden-14 District. She assumed office on January 4, 2023. Her current term ends on January 6, 2027.
Rachelson (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the Vermont House of Representatives to represent Chittenden-14 District. She declared candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on August 11, 2026.[source]
Biography
Barbara Rachelson graduated from West Essex High School. Rachelson earned a B.A. in sociology from Brandeis University and an M.S.W. in policy and planning from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Her career experience includes working as a nonprofit executive in various roles, such as interim executive director of the Epilepsy Foundation of Vermont, executive director of Lund, and executive director of the Michigan Network of Runaway, Homeless and Youth Services. Rachelson volunteered on the board of Human Rights for Kids and as a commissioner for the Burlington Parallel Justice Commission. She previously volunteered on the board of the ACLU of Vermont board, Fletcher Allen Health Care, and the Vermont Children's Forum.[1]
