Barbara Robinson (Democratic Party) was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 40. Robinson assumed office in 2007. Robinson left office in 2016.

Robinson (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Maryland State Senate to represent District 40. Robinson lost in the Democratic primary on June 26, 2018.

Robinson served in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 40 from 2007 to her appointment to the state Senate on December 21, 2016. While in office, Robinson served in the deputy majority whip.

Biography

When she served in the state Senate, Robinson's professional experience included working as a talk show host on WEAA Radio and for Dundalk Community College, and as a teacher at Anne Arundel Community College and Community College of Baltimore.

Elections for the Maryland House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Antonio Hayes and incumbents Frank M. Conaway, Jr. and Barbara A. Robinson defeated incumbent Shawn Z. Tarrant, Douglas R. Barry, Marvin "Doc" Cheatham, Quianna M. Cooke, Rob "Bobby" LaPin, Bill Marker and Timothy Mercer in the Democratic primary and were unopposed in the general election. Tarrant re-entered the race as a write-in candidate.[1][2][3]

On November 7, 2006, Barbara Robinson ran for District 40 of the Maryland House of Delegates, winning the second of three seats, losing to Frank Conaway, Jr. but beating Shawn Tarrant, and Jan Danforth.[5]
