Barbara Salinitro was a judge of the Queens County Family Court in New York. She left office in 2017.

Education

Salinitro received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980 and her J.D. from the Boston University School of Law in 1983.[1][2]

Career

Salinitro began her career in 1985 working for the New York City Law Department of the Corporation Counsel, Family Court Division. In that position, she was assigned to the Brooklyn Family Court and worked with juvenile delinquent cases. In October of 1986, she joined the Commercial Litigation Division of the Corporation Counsel. She then became a private practice lawyer in March of 1987, but returned to the NYC Law Department the following November. There she served as the Bronx County Family Court Borough Chief until 1994, when she was promoted to Bronx Borough Chief. Her judicial career began in December of 1996, when she was assigned to the Brooklyn Family Court. She was transferred to her current position in Queens County in July of 1998.[3]
