Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 35.5 percent of the vote. She competed against Blas Delgado, Cristina Carter and Pamela Gabriel Craig.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, Scharf-Zeldes faced Delgado in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. She won, earning 67.6 percent of the votes cast.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 49.3 percent of the vote. She competed against Kelly M. Cross.[2][3]
2010
Scharf-Zeldes ran for a seat on the Probate Court No. 2 in 2010. She was defeated by incumbent Republican Tom Rickhoff in the general election.[4]
