Three of the seven seats on the Davis School District school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. Precinct 1 incumbent Barbara Smith withdrew from the race before the election leaving candidates Richard Call and Liz Mumford to compete for the open seat. Mumford defeated Call. John Robison defeated incumbent Larry Smith for the Precinct 2 seat. Precinct 4 incumbent Kathie Bone originally filed to run for re-election but withdrew from the race before the election. Brigit Gerrard won Bone's seat by defeating Mike McCauley.[1]
