Barron C. Burmaster is a judge for the Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.[1] He was elected on November 16, 2013 for a term that expires in 2019.[2]

2013 election

Burmaster ran for election to the Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court. Primary: He received 41.0 percent of the vote in the primary on October 19, 2013, defeating Connie Montgomery and Stephen Petit.
General: He defeated Zoe Olivia Fleming in the general election on November 16, 2013, receiving 68.2 percent of the vote.[3][4][5]

Education

Burmaster earned a B.A. from Loyola University-New Orleans, going on to receive his J.D. there as well. He was admitted to the bar in 1990.[6]

Career

Prior to his judicial election, Burmaster worked as a Jefferson Parish prosecutor for nearly 22 years, most recently serving as executive district attorney.[7]
