Elections
2012
Stanley ran in the 2012 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 85. He was defeated by Rebecca Armstrong in the August 7 Democratic primary, but as Armstrong was acting as a placeholder and did not intend to defeat Stanley, she withdrew. Stanley was then chosen as the new Democratic nominee[1] and was defeated by incumbent Steve Brunk (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
