Barry Dopson was a Republican candidate for District G representative on the Ouachita Parish School Board in Louisiana. He lost in the general election on November 4, 2014.

All seven seats on the Ouachita Parish School Board were up for election in 2014. Four of the seats were contested while the other three were filled by incumbents elected without opposition. District A incumbent Bill Norris (D) did not seek re-election. Tommy M. Comeaux (R), Jeff Counts (R) and Dickie Jackson (R) all filed to run for the open seat, but Counts later withdrew from the race. A.R. "Red" Sims (D), the District C incumbent, sought re-election against Juanita Kay Auttonberry-Cook (D). Randall Collins (D) challenged District E incumbent John L. Russell (D). District G incumbent Susan Spence (R) did not file to run for re-election. Newcomers Barry Dopson (R) and Greg Manley (R) ran to fill her seat.[1]

The following incumbents retained their seats after being elected without opposition: Scott Robinson (R) in District B, Jerry R. Hicks (R) in District D and Carey Walker (R) in District F.[1]
