Schwartz was appointed to the Denver County Court by Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock on September 22, 2016.[1]
Biography
Schwartz is from Denver, Colorado. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado and his J.D. from the University of Denver. At the time of his judicial appointment, Schwartz was a senior attorney in the litigation section of the Denver City Attorney’s Office. His professional experience also includes serving as a law clerk, working at the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Colorado, and as an attorney in private practice.[1] He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fourth, Seventh, Eighth, and Tenth Circuits; and the United States District Courts for the District of Colorado, the Eastern District of Virginia, the District of Arizona, and the Eastern District of Oklahoma.[2]
