Bart Rowland (Republican Party) was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 21. He assumed office in 2012. He left office on January 1, 2023.

Rowland (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 21. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.

Biography

Bart Rowland, as of February 2020, lived in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. He attended Western Kentucky University. Rowland's career experience includes working with Rowland Insurance Agency and the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Kentucky (IIAK), the Professional Insurance Agents of Kentucky (PIA), and the Monroe County Republican Party.[1]

Joe Choate ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Bart Rowland ran unopposed in the Republican primary. Rowland defeated Choate in the general election.[5][6][7]

Rowland won re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 53. He defeated Freddy Harbison and Richard Treitz in the Republican primary on May 22, 2012, and defeated Thomas Dodson (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[8][9]

Special

Rowland won election to Kentucky House of Representatives District 53 in a special election on February 7, 2012. He defeated Barry Dean Steele (D). The seat was vacant after James Comer Jr. (R) resigned after being elected Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture on November 8, 2011.[10][11]
