|- Creating a moonshot for Ohio workers. We have a generational opportunity as the new Silicon Heartland with investments from Intel and other tech and defense companies. Ohio needs a fighter in Washington to get legislation passed that will support this new growth and invest in the best interests of workers and their families to build a life here in Ohio.
- America needs to invest in and expand public education so citizens are prepared for jobs of the future and can invent new technologies.
- Rebuilding a culture of entrepreneurship that made Dayton, Springfield and Ohio internationally renowned for invention. A culture of entrepreneurship demands health care for everyone so dreamers and builders are not reliant on employer based care and reluctant to leave a job to begin their new venture. Investments in infrastructure, child care, broadband internet access for everyone, a simpler and equitable tax code, and federal instruments like loans and grants to invest in business growth are all areas that will strengthen a culture for entrepreneurs in America to succeed.
Defense spending, Intelligence and National Security - Wright Patterson Air Force base is incredibly significant to my area and its impact on innovation in the Defense Industry.
Environment - The US must lead in working to mitigate the impacts of climate change. The natural world is our most important asset.
Culture and Society - Civil Rights and the Arts, American culture is our greatest export and the arts is essential in creative thinking and problem solving.
