Beatrice Butchko
Beatrice Butchko is a judge of the Florida 11th Circuit Court. Her current term ends on January 5, 2027.
Butchko won re-election for judge of the Florida 11th Circuit Court outright after the general election on November 3, 2020, was canceled.
Education
Butchko received her B.S. degree from the University of Florida in 1986 and her J.D. degree from the DePaul University College of Law in 1989. She has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law since 2005.[1]
Career
Butchko began her career in 1989 as an assistant state attorney for Miami-Dade County. She left that position in 2000 to work as an associate of the law firm of Kaye, Rose & Maltzman, LLP. The following year, she became a partner of Ferrell Schultz, PA. She then worked as a partner of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham, LLP from 2003 through 2005. From 2001 to 2005, she also served as special counsel to the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission. She joined the circuit court in 2006.[1]
