Beatrice Lanzi (b. October 3, 1966) is a former Democratic member of the Rhode Island State Senate, representing District 26 from 2003 to 2013. Lanzi served in the Rhode Island House of Representatives from 1992 to 2002.

Biography

Lanzi earned her B.A. in Communications/Political Science from Rhode Island College in 1989 and her M.A. in Communication Studies from Emerson College in 1991. Her professional experience includes working as the director for Labor Community Service for the United Way of Rhode Island and as a Communications Instructor.

Lanzi was re-elected in District 26. Lanzi defeated Republican Sean Gately in the November 2 general election. She was unopposed in the September 14 Democratic primary.[2]

On November 4, 2008, Lanzi was re-elected to the 26th District Seat in the Rhode Island State Senate.[3] Lanzi raised $20,562 for his campaign, while Gately raised $5,825.[4]
