|I am married to Tom McKinstry and we have four daughters and eight grandchildren who have motivated me to step into politics.
I am honored to have been recognized as Small Business Person of the Year and Women of the Year for Meridian.
We enjoy golfing with friends and barbeques with family. We attend community events and enjoy good movies and good books.- One of my top priorities is to protect Public School Funding. There is an unconstitutional voucher program promoting tax dollars be used for private, religious and home schooling programs. The State of Idaho's constitution clearly states that our tax dollars are to be used for funding public education only. It's important that we fully support public school funding and not dilute our efforts by passing unconstitutional bills that take money away from public education. Protecting school and city libraries from lawsuits and extreme policies that our legislation and governor has passed is a priority. It is important that we work for all of our citizens, not the minority who are pushing private agendas.
- Healthcare. When government gets into the medical business of dictating what doctors can and cannot do, we have a problem. Medical specialists are leaving the state because of the government overreach which interferes with doctors taking care of their patients. Healthcare should be affordable and accessible for all.
- There are many issues that need to be addressed. We need to fight for equality for all and focus on affordable housing programs, and protecting Idaho's natural resources.
