The question on the ballot:
Shall the expired previously voted increases in the tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution of .20 mills ($.20 per $1,000 of taxable value) and of .05 mills ($.05 per $1000.00 of taxable value), which combined, totals .25 mills ($.25 per $1,000.00 of the taxable value), and which is reduced to .2464 mills by the required Headlee millage rollbacks, be renewed at .2462 mills ($.2464 per $1,000.00 of the taxable value), upon the taxable real and tangible personal property within the Township of Bedford, Monroe County, Michigan, for a period of three (3) years from 2013 through 2015 inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds to the Lake Erie Transportation Commission for Bedford Dial-A-Ride bus service in Bedford Township? The estimated revenue increase for the first year of the levy, if the proposition is approved, shall be approximately $239,188.54.[3] |
