Belton City Question 1: Waterworks Revenue Bonds question was approved on the April 2, 2013 election ballot in Cass County, which is in Missouri.
This measure authorized the City of Belton to increase its debt by $13.925 million through issuing waterworks revenue bonds in that amount in order to fund the construction of a new elevated water storage tank and the renovation and improvement of the city's water storage and water system facilities. This debt and the costs of the improvements and construction projects are to be paid by the revenue of the city's waterworks system.
This measure requires a 4/6ths (57.1%) majority approval rate to pass.[1]

“ | Shall the City of Belton, Missouri, issue its waterworks revenue bonds in an amount not to exceed $13,925,000 for the purpose of extending and improving the City's waterworks system, including but not limited to costs to construct a new elevated water storage tank, renovating and improving the water storage tank on Hargis Street, install water transmission and distribution mains, and renovating and improving pump stations, the cost of operation and maintenance of said waterworks system and the principal of and interest on said revenue bonds to be payable solely from the revenues derived by the City from the operation of its waterworks system, including all future extensions and improvements thereto?
