Ben Harbin
Ben Harbin (b. October 28, 1963) is a former Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 122 from 1994 to July 7, 2015. He resigned to become a lobbyist for the Southern Strategy Group.[1]
Harbin served as Chair of the Richmond County Republican Party from 1990 to 1991 and 1993 to 1994.
Harbin passed away on April 30, 2025.[2]
Biography
Harbin's professional experience includes working as the Owner of The Harbin Company, Insurance and Employee Benefits, Partner with Harbin and Associates, Land Surveying Firm, and Agent with Farm Bureau Insurance.

"Ben" Harbin was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[4][5][6]

Harbin ran for re-election to the 118th District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the July 20 primary and no one ran against him in the general election on November 2, 2010.[9]

Harbin is a member of the Augusta Kiwanis, Association of Life Underwriters, Baker Woods Baptist Church, Child Enrichment/Child Advocacy Center Board, Cross Roads Academy (Alternative School) Board, Columbia County Foundation for Children Board, Georgia Military College Alumni Association, Martinez Optimist, Metro Augusta Chamber of Commerce Board, and the Pediatrician Association.[12]
