Ben Mudd is a conservative Republican with deep roots in Central Kentucky. As a pharmacist, business owner, and father, he understands the everyday struggles Kentuckians face — and he’s running for State Senate to defend our values, protect our families, and fight for common-sense solutions that work.
  • Protecting Faith, Family, and Freedom Ben is unapologetically pro-life and pro-family. He believes in protecting religious freedom, defending the unborn, and standing up for traditional values. He will fight back against government overreach and safeguard our constitutional rights — including the Second Amendment.
  • Fighting for Small Towns and Farmers Ben has lived and worked in small-town Kentucky his entire life. He’ll champion policies that support local farmers, reduce burdens on small business owners, and make sure rural voices are heard in Frankfort. Less red tape. Lower taxes. More freedom to grow.
  • Cutting Taxes and Shrinking Government Ben supports strong public schools, vocational training, and real-world career pathways that prepare the next generation for success. He believes in giving parents more say and making education practical, relevant, and locally driven.
Ben is most passionate about public policy that improves health outcomes while reducing government spending, particularly within Medicaid, by addressing structural inefficiencies in the healthcare system. He views healthcare as a non-free-market system in which consolidation and vertical integration have increased costs, reduced transparency, and limited competition. His policy focus includes lowering healthcare costs, supporting employer-sponsored coverage, facilitating workforce reentry, and advancing evidence-based opioid use disorder and criminal justice reforms that reduce recidivism, improve public safety, and support long-term economic stability.
