Ben Streusand was a 2014 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 36th Congressional District of Texas.[1] He was defeated by Brian Babin in the Republican runoff primary on May 27, 2014.[2]

Biography

Streusand has worked in the mortgage and investment banking industry and is the former President of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association. He is a member of the Tea Party movement and former Chairman of Americans for Prosperity, Texas.[3]

Streusand ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Texas' 36th District. Streusand and Brian Babin advanced past the Republican primary on March 4, 2014.[4] He was defeated by Babin in the Republican runoff primary on May 27, 2014.[2]
