Vazquez's campaign website included the following statement:

I am running for Santa Ana Mayor because I want to continue the work that is already happening in our city but I also believe that there’s plenty of work to be done! I believe that we must take a holistic approach to governance and attend to every aspect. I believe that the quality of life has not reached its potential because of sheer negligence. All Santa Ana residents should live with dignity and be included in the decision-making process. I humbly ask for your vote on November 8th. [5]
