Anita Reyna defeated fellow newcomer Bruce Brannon to win the open seat. According to the San Antonio Express News, the race for Position 4 was won by newcomer Benito Flores. Nine votes separated Flores and fellow candidate Maggie Morales. Flores defeated Morales, incumbent Loren Brewer, and newcomer Daniel "Buddy" Vallejo to win the seat.[1][2]
