Long issued the following statement regarding his bid for office:
“ | I believe the key to success within State government is respect, cooperation, and integrity. Without those things we will continue to see political gridlock. It is time for new ideas paired with a fresh perspective. Partisanship is at an all time high, I have no desire to do what is right for my political party, but to do what is right for the people of my district. Working for a more prosperous education system, local economy, and restoring integrity are my top priorities. | ” |
