Benjamin Philip Hursh
Benjamin Philip Hursh is the chief bankruptcy judge on the United States bankruptcy court, District of Montana. He began his appointment on February 1, 2017, and will serve as chief judge throughout his tenure. Hursh is the only full-time bankruptcy judge in the district.[1]
Early life and education
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Hursh earned a bachelor's degree from Montana State University-Bozeman and a J.D. from the University of Montana school of Law.[1]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Hursh served as an associate with Cederberg Law Offices P.C. from 2003 to 2008. He later served as a partner with Crowley Fleck PLLP from 2011 until his appointment to the court.[1]
