Bennie Turner (August 21, 1948 – November 27, 2012) was a Democratic member of the Mississippi State Senate. He represented the 16th Senatorial District from 1994 until his death.[1]

Biography

Turner earned his A.S. from Mary Holmes College, B.A. from Mississippi State University, and J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law. His professional experience included working as an attorney and broadcaster.

Turner won re-election to the Mississippi Senate District 16. He ran unopposed in the primary on August 2, 2011, and in the general election on November 8, 2011.[2]
