I am a libertarian minded Republican/Conservative who has lived in this district for almost 50 years and want to return power to it's citizens and primary stakeholders. I have served on the Community Board in my neighborhood for 2 years and have fought for these goals. I understand that my district's diverse residents require thoughtful, fair, and comprehensive solutions to the various issues that effect each community in different ways. I have raised a family here and understand the challenges that exist in my district and the city at large.
  • Everyone has a right to feel safe while walking on the streets of their neighborhood. Reestablishing police on the beat will go a long way in ensuring that. Supporting faithful police officers is vital in ensuring they can do the job we have hired them to do.
  • Primary homeowners should have the final say in what kind of developments are built around the home they have invested so much into. The ULURP process needs to include the approval of surrounding property owners, primary home owners in particular.
  • The monopoly of public education must be broken by allowing parents to have the choice of choosing the best education for their children via school vouches. Private school tuitions are too expensive for most families and essentially force parents to send their children to government run schools. School vouchers will also introduce competition to education which will force public schools to raise the quality of their service.
Reducing central control of government over the lives of it's constituents in order to protect the divine individual rights of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
The city council member should be an advocate for their constituents against abuse of power by the executive branch of the city.
Representing the best interests of the primary stakeholders and all other citizens in their jurisdiction.
Making my district and the city a better place than when I entered office.
Understanding the needs of your district is paramount to be successful in this office.
Understanding that many successful smaller systems can enable the success of a larger system. This is something that I have learned during my career as a software developer.
The city council member should be an advocate for their constituents against abuse of power by the executive branch of the city.
Republican and Conservative parties in NY.
Government has repeatedly failed in being financially responsible to it's tax payers, so I would advocate that the bare minimum of tax payer money should be remitted to the government. Private, community based organizations provide much better value to those who require assistance.
