Berlin Boyd was a member of the Memphis City Council in Tennessee, representing District 7. Boyd assumed office in 2015. Boyd left office on January 1, 2020.
Boyd ran for election to the Memphis City Council to represent Super District 8 Position 3 in Tennessee. Boyd lost in the general election on October 5, 2023.
Boyd also ran for election to the Memphis City Council to represent Super District 8 Position 1 in Tennessee. Boyd did not appear on the ballot for the general election on October 5, 2023.
Biography
Born in Memphis, Boyd earned a B.B.A. from New College Stamford in 2003. He went on to receive an additional bachelor's degree in international business from Colorado Technical University in 2014. His professional experience includes working as a business mobility solutions specialist and a commercial real estate agent for Slovis and Associates. He was also the founder and CEO of Metropolitan Group.[1]

The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 17, 2015.[2] In the District 7 race, incumbent Berlin Boyd faced Anthony Anderson, Eric Dunn, Anthony Ambee Johnson, Alfonzo Durell Lee, Michael Moore, Coby V. Smith, Thurston Smith and David W. Vinciarelli in the general election on October 8, 2015.[3] A runoff between Anderson and Boyd took place on November 19, 2015.[4]
