Bernard C. Staples
Bernard C. Staples was a judge for the Maine district court system. He was appointed to the court in 1989 by Governor John McKernan. He primarily served Hancock County. Staples retired on July 29, 2010, after 21 years on the court.[1][2][3]
Education
Staples received a bachelor's degree from Bates College and a J.D. from Boston University's School of Law in 1961.[3]
Military service
Staples served in the military in the 1950s, as a member of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.[3]
Career
After his military service, Staples worked as a private practice attorney with Ralph C. Masterman in Bar Harbor, Maine. He was then appointed to the district court in 1989.[1]
