Bernard Cheng

Bernard Cheng is a judge of the Suffolk County Family Court in New York. He was elected to this position on November 2, 2010 and his term will end in 2020.[1][2]
Education
Cheng earned his bachelor's degree from Stony Brook University and his law degree from Touro College's Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.[3]
Career
Cheng has worked as an attorney of the Legal Aid Society (family court and law guardian bureaus) and as an assistant county attorney for the Suffolk County Family Court. From 2003 until his judicial election in 2010, he worked as principal law clerk to Suffolk County Court Judge James Hudson. He was then elected to the Family Court bench.[3]
