Bernard Markovitz was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Western District of Pennsylvania. He was appointed on November 27, 1985, and reappointed for a second term in 1999. He was elevated and held the position of chief judge from January 1, 1997 to January 8, 2000. Markovitz retired on April 21, 2010, but served on recall status from January 3, 2011 to March 31, 2012.[1]
Education
Markovitz earned a bachelor's degree from Westminster College and a Bachelor of Laws from Duquesne University.[2]
