Hello, I’m Bernard Taylor, I am a Firefighter, and I am honored to announce my candidacy for the Democratic nomination to represent Florida’s 21st Congressional District. Our district—home to Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, Stuart, Jupiter, and Palm Beach Gardens—is a diverse, hardworking, and resilient community. From our dedicated educators and small business owners to our frontline workers and families striving for a better future, the strength of Florida’s Treasure Coast lies in its people.
  • Economic Growth – It’s time to invest in small businesses, create good-paying jobs, and attract sustainable industries that strengthen our economy.
  • Healthcare Access – No one should have to choose between their health and their financial security. We must fight for affordable, high-quality healthcare for all.
  • Education Excellence – Investing in our schools means equipping our children with the tools they need to thrive.
Economic Opportunity, Healthcare Access, and Education Expansion.
I look up to my father. He is the example to me of what it means to stand on principle no matter the consequences.
I’m a leader, I’m responsible, I’m honest, and I’m compassionate.
To represent their constituents and do what’s in their best interest.
To leave the country in a better place for the average American.
9-11-2021 Terror attacks. I was in my 7th grade history class when the news broke.
Stock Clerk at Winn Dixie for a Year.
The Diary of Anne Frank. Even amongst potential consequences, there are people willing to help those most vulnerable.
Learning to accept things that you can’t change.
There should be term limits for everyone in government.
The amount of seniors that run calls on as a fireman who are worried about losing their healthcare and not being able to afford their medical bills is truly heartbreaking.
Compromise is necessary were it can be accomplished. Some things you have to stand on what you believe is right.
Putting the country in the best way to serve the people and reduce the budget deficit at the same time.
To investigate legitimate concerns and potential violations of the law.
Oversight, Ways and Means.
I believe that transparency is extremely important and we need campaign finance reform.
