Bernice Mathews (b. November 12, 1933) is a former Democratic member of the Nevada State Senate, representing the Washoe 1 District from 1994 to 2010. State term limits disqualified her from re-election in 2010.

Mathews is a former City Councilwoman for Reno City Council.

Biography

Mathews earned her B.S.N. from the University of Nevada, Reno and her M.Ed. in Administration of Higher Education from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her professional experience includes owning her own small business and working as a Director of Health Science-Nursing (Emeritus).[1]
