Bernice Mireku-North
Bernice Mireku-North (Democratic Party) is a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 14. She assumed office on January 11, 2023. Her current term ends on January 13, 2027.
Gov. Larry Hogan (R) appointed Mireku-North to Maryland House of Delegates District 14 on January 6, 2023, to replace Eric Luedtke (D).[1]
Biography
Bernice Mireku-North lives in Maryland. Mireku-North earned a B.A. in government and politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2003, and a J.D. from the Howard University School of Law in 2006. She also completed a summer study abroad program in the comparative study of British and U.S. judicial systems at the University of Oxford in 2002. Mireku-North's career experience includes working as a law clerk in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, in the Prince George's County Circuit Court, as a contract attorney for TransPerfect Legal Solutions in Houston, Texas, and as an attorney at her own private practice.[2]
