Bert Brackett (Republican Party) was a member of the Idaho State Senate, representing District 23. Brackett assumed office in 2008. Brackett left office on December 1, 2020.

Brackett (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Idaho State Senate to represent District 23. Brackett won in the general election on November 6, 2018.

On September 10, 2019, Brackett announced that he would not seek re-election in 2020.[1]

Brackett previously served in the Idaho House of Representatives from 2005 to 2008.

Elections for the Idaho State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Incumbent Bert Brackett was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[8][9][10][11]

Brackett won re-election in the 2012 election for Idaho State Senate District 23. Redistricting placed District 22 incumbent Tim Corder (R) into District 23 with Brackett, leading to a 2012 faceoff between the two in the Republican primary.[12] Brackett defeated Corder in the May 15 Republican primary and defeated Bill Chisholm (I) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[13][14][15]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Republican Brackett won re-election to the Idaho State Senate, District 23 receiving 66.5% of the vote (10,550 votes), ahead of Democrat Bill Chisholm who received 33.5% of the vote (5,312 votes).[17]
