I was born and raised in Iredell County and have spent my career serving the people of this community. I currently serve as Chairman of the Iredell County Board of Commissioners and have more than 31 years of public service, including service with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office since 1999, where I currently serve as Chief Deputy. My background in public safety and local government has given me firsthand experience with the challenges facing Iredell County and the importance of making responsible, well-informed decisions that put residents first.
  • I am running for re-election to continue serving the citizens of Iredell County and to help guide the county through a period of continued growth. I believe growth must be responsibly managed, with an emphasis on economic development through new business and business expansion, while opposing unchecked residential growth, including high-density development, that strains county services and impacts quality of life.
  • As a commissioner, I have focused on protecting local decision-making, strengthening public safety, and ensuring county services are delivered efficiently while keeping taxes as low as possible. I have also opposed efforts that would weaken local control over zoning and land-use decisions.
  • My goal is to continue putting the people of Iredell County first, maintaining strong county services, and ensuring public safety remains a top priority.
I am personally passionate about public safety, responsible growth, and protecting local decision-making. My background in law enforcement has shaped my belief that strong public safety services are essential to a community’s quality of life and long-term stability.

I am also deeply focused on managing growth responsibly. I support economic development through new business and business expansion, while opposing unchecked residential growth, including high-density development, that places strain on county infrastructure, emergency services, and taxpayers.

Additionally, I am committed to fiscal responsibility and efficient delivery of county services. I believe counties have a responsibility to provide core services effectively, keep taxes
