Bertha Rath Valenzuela
Bertha Rath Valenzuela was a candidate for the Trustee Area 7 seat on the Downey Unified School District Board of Trustees in California. She lost during the general election on November 5, 2013. She ran on a platform supporting expanding autistic services and re-opening Pace Elementary School in Bellflower to neighborhood students.
Biography
Valenzuela is a retired official from the LA County Office of Education in Downey. She is the grandmother of children that attend Downey Unified Schools. Bertha is a neighborhood watch captain and a former Head Start volunteer.[1]
