I have lived in Ohio my entire life and lived in my House District for about 25 years. I care deeply about my community and the state and I want Ohio to be a place where people choose to live and stay. My experience of over 20 years as a lawyer in state government and 8 years leading as school board president have provided me with a deep and thorough understanding of how our government works and how it can work best for all of us.
  • I am running to keep my seat as State Representative so that I can keep fighting for safe and affordable communities.
  • I am also running to restore integrity and bipartisanship to the Statehouse so that we are serving YOU.
  • I believe that everyone deserves the freedom of choice.
I am passionate about policy related to public education because I believe it is the most important ways we can control whether or not we actually provide an equal opportunity to the promise of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to ALL.
The most important characteristics of an elected official are integrity, accountability, and transparency.
.My very first job was as a babysitter and I was 11 years old. I took a class offered by my city that provided CPR training and ideas for activities to do with kids and then started babysitting every weekend until I was old enough to get a job waiting tables.
It's difficult to choose just one favorite, but I'll say John Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath is definitely one of my favorite books. It's one of those books that really draws you in with powerful characters and gives you an example of how structural inequality actually impacts lives.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Ohio

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
