I was born and raised in northeast Ohio. I'm the daughter of a steel worker. Sister of a union carpenter. I am a wife, mother, nurse practitioner, small business owner and City of Hudson council woman. I am running in the most competitive Ohio House race- District 34. I believe in the American dream and will go to work eliminating the barriers that have held many Ohioans back for way too long.
  • I will work to eliminate the state income tax and lower taxes for hardworking individuals and businesses. Reigning in the size and scope of government will free our economy to grow bigger and stronger.
  • I stand with law enforcement and will support and fund them to keep our communities and schools safe.
  • I will work with parents and schools to reform Ohio's educational system and prepare our students for success.
I have a 25+ year career in healthcare. I am a board-certified nurse practitioner and also have an MBA with a healthcare focus. I've taught Health Policy at KSU. Naturally, I have a great interest in healthcare delivery, and I am concerned about the rising costs of healthcare and the lack of pricing transparency. We can do better for Ohio's families. I want to share my knowledge and experiences gained over the years, to make healthcare better for our great state.
The elected leaders of the State of Ohio each have their unique roles, but like any team - I believe that they should be working together toward common goals to strengthen the state of Ohio and our citizens. Legislators make laws. The governor influences that process through the executive budget proposal, a policy agenda, and vetoes. It is important to have a good faith working relationship between legislators and the governor.
Yes, if elected to the Ohio House, I will be working with 98 other unique individuals with various personalities, backgrounds, and philosophies. I think it is important to be able to listen, learn, and also to know and understand oneself and be strong to stand firm on areas of essential importance.
