Beth Buchanan is a federal bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of Ohio. She joined the court on May 10, 2011.[1]

Education

Buchanan received her undergraduate degrees from The Ohio State University in 1986 and her J.D. from the University of Dayton in 1997.[1]

Career

Before becoming a lawyer, Buchanan worked with two major financial institutions for eight years. After receiving her law degree, she worked with Frost Brown Todd LLC in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group. There she worked with bankruptcy and insolvency law, representing debtors, creditors’ committee, secured lenders and unsecured creditors in chapter 7, 11 and 15 bankruptcy proceedings.[1]
