Beth Cozzolino
Beth Cozzolino ran for a seat on the Columbia County Court in New York. The seat had been vacated by Paul Czajka, who ran for the position of District Attorney and won. The District Attorney position had been vacated by Cozzolino.
2011 election
Cozzolino defeated Richard M. Koweek in the Independence primary and Mark Portin in the Republican primary on September 13, 2011. The general election was held on November 8, 2011, and Cozzolino again faced Democrat Richard M. Koweek.[1][2] Cozzolino lost the general election, winning 44 percent of the vote to Koweek's 55%.[3]
