Beth Kerttula
Elizabeth J. 'Beth' Kerttula (b. January 8, 1956) is a former Democratic member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing District 32 from 1999 to January 24, 2014. She resigned on January 24, 2014, after being accepted for an oceans policy fellowship at Stanford University.[1]
Kerttula served as the House Minority Leader from 2006 to 2014.
Biography
Kerttula's professional experience includes working as an attorney with the Kerttula Law Office from 1998-2004, Assistant Attorney General, Commercial, Natural Resources, Oil, Gas, and Mining Section - Attorney General's Office from 1990-1998, and as an attorney with Kay, Saville, Coffey, Hopwood and Schmidt in 1988.

- HB 45 - "An Act relating to certain investments of the Alaska permanent fund, the state's retirement systems, the State of Alaska Supplemental Annuity Plan, and the deferred compensation program for state employees in companies that do business in Sudan, and restricting those investments."
- HB 56 - "An Act relating to forgiveness of portions of education loans for certain borrowers who are residents of the state."
- HB 96 - "An Act relating to forgiveness of interest on certain state loans secured by a lien placed on potential receipts from litigation involving claims for injury, loss, or destruction of the natural resources affected by the March 24, 1989, Exxon Valdez oil spill; and providing for an effective date."[2]

Kerttula ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Alaska House of Representatives District 32. She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 28, 2012. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4] Kerttula won re-election in the general election.[5]

2010
Kerttula won re-election to the 3rd District seat in 2010. She had no opposition.
2008
In 2008, Kerttula was re-elected to the Alaska House of Representatives District 3. Kerttula (D) ran unopposed and finished with 6,883 votes.[6] She raised $45,866 for her campaign fund.[7]
