I am a member of the Mason County Democrats and serve on the County Committee, Precinct Delegate for Victory Township, and Chair of Region 8 in the First Congressional District. I am a member of the Progressive and Rural Caucuses of the Michigan Democratic Party.

I graduated from the Capital Area Career Center, Lansing Community College, and Michigan State University. I'm a retired pharmacy technician trainer. I owned Business Development Services, training physicians, dentists, and realtors in the use of handheld technology. I live in Ludington with my husband, Max Rizer. We have three adult children.

  • Put Michigan on the road to economic recovery with good union jobs while rebuilding our infrastructure.
  • Improve rural health care, keep our hospitals open, recruit, and retain health care providers, reduce drug costs, and address the opioid crisis.
  • Support our schools. Provide quality education that meets national standards, reflects our values, supports educators, and increase wages.
Equality is the policy I am most passionate about. My Top 10 List reflects my commitment to equality; whether it is in the workplace, education, health care, or civil rights.
I have lived a life of service and wish to continue to do so. I will serve the residents of my district integrity, dignity, and honesty.
The first historical event I remember was the assassination of President Kennedy; I was five years old. I was in kindergarten and I asked my teacher why all the adults were crying and she said someone had killed the President.
Thoreau: Walden and Other Writings. His writings embrace nature, simplicity, and service.
Michigan's economy will be our greatest challenge. We are currently experiencing nearly a twenty-three percent unemployment rate as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The legislature must work with the Governor to first and foremost protect the health of Michiganders. Keeping Michiganders healthy will keep Michigan working. Putting Michigan back to work rebuilding our infrastructure creates good jobs with benefits. Our small businesses need financial support to reopen safely and rebuild.
Yes. Often times different regions have competing interests. We need to work together to make sure that we understand each others needs and reach compromises that benefit the whole state.
I support the redistricting proposition passed by the citizens of Michigan. We are in the process of establishing an independent redistricting commission composed of Democrats, Independents, and Republicans. They will redraw our districts based on the 2020 census data.
