Beth Scioneaux
Beth Scioneaux is a former acting Louisiana Superintendent of Education. She was appointed by the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education on March 11, 2020, following the resignation of former superintendent John White. She assumed office on March 12.[1][2] Scioneaux left office on June 7, 2020, following the appointment of Cade Brumley as superintendent.[3]
Biography
Scioneaux has held the position of Deputy Superintendent for Management and Finance since 2007.[2] She also served as the director of the education finance division at the Louisiana Department of Education from 1998 to 2007. Scioneaux received a B.S. in accounting from Louisiana State University.[4]

Scioneaux was appointed to the statewide post of Louisiana Superintendent of Education in an acting capacity following the resignation of John White in March 2020.[1] She left office when new superintendent Cade Brumley took office.[3]

The Louisiana Superintendent of Education is a state executive position in the Louisiana state government. The constitutionally established office is appointed by the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education and serves as head of the Department of Education.[5]
