I am a wife of 39 years, a mother of 4, a grandmother of 4, a daughter/granddaughter from a string of strong women, a sister to 3 amazing women, a public school teacher for 16 years, and now a community advocate for women, children and the less fortunate. I think that women can change our world and I think it's time that we're given that chance. I will work to pass the ERA in Ohio so that every woman in Ohio has the same rights as every man. Equal work should mean equaI pay. I believe that providing all of our children with an excellent education could prevent most of the problems in our state and country. If elected I will work to ensure that the unconstitutional funding system for the schools in our state is fixed. Every student is due an equal and adequate education according to the Ohio Constitution. Making sure that every student graduates with the knowledge to successfully attend college or the skills necessary to acquire a good job will create an economic boom in our state. High stakes testing should end and we need to focus on the physical, emotional, social and educational needs of our children. Strong, successful children will produce a strong, robust state. Healthcare should be made available and affordable to everyone. I will work to improve the lives of working people. Everyone wants to have a good job and to be able to support their families.
  • Working for women and children-equal pay, equal education, healthcare, universal preschool, family leave
  • Working people-strong unions, living wages, stable good-paying jobs, affordable college and job training
  • Protecting farms, forests, waterways and other green spaces and also expanding outdoor recreation
Affordable Healthcare for All

Equal opportunities for all women and all children

Protecting farmland and green spaces; getting students outside and away from their devices

Clean energy

Improving the lives of the poor

Returning local money to our cities, villages and townships

Honesty, kindness, compassion, intelligence, belief in fairness and equality, thinking out of the box
My first job was working in the loan department of our local bank during summer breaks from college.
Getting more women elected. I think women make better decisions because they are more compassionate, open-minded, kinder and more creative.
Yes, I believe having a good understanding of the "other sides" thinking processes can help form a better decision.
I've been hearing many healthcare horror stories. One recently was from a woman who had to divorce her husband so that he could get the healthcare that he needed.
