- With over a decade of consistent proven service as a nonprofit organizer, educator supporter, youth mentor, and community partner with real world experience. My record exemplifies my ability to develop strong leaders and productive members of society. While improving the quality of life for my neighbors and generations to come.
- With clear understanding of the daily challenges of those I live alongside of, listening first and making decisions that reflects the true needs of my community is my priority. Leading with integrity and transparency will remove the stigma of the arrested development we have suffered from.
- Practical solutions are often time overlooked within my community. I am committed to creating long-term stability, bringing real investment back to District 5 , expanding youth opportunities and improving public safety that actually meets the needs of the people I serve. As a strong experienced community leader within what is considered one of the most underdeveloped and underserved districts, my proven track record of service will enhance what we have been deprived of for far too long.

Campaign website
Bailey's campaign website stated the following:
My "Why" for Metro Council – District 5
Our community deserves more than survival — we deserve to thrive. We deserve more than just memories of despair- We deserve to be recognized for our great achievements throughout history. I am committed to tackling the core issues we face with practical solutions rooted in care, equity, and accountability.
From supporting our elders, to empowering our youth to rise above the pressures of violence and crime — I will lead by restoring dignity and opportunity. I will prioritize job and career readiness, especially within our own district, while addressing long-standing infrastructure failures that erode our neighborhoods' safety and appearance.
Our district deserves revitalized storefronts, walkable business corridors, and fresh investment. I will push for equitable funding to rehabilitate abandoned business structures, create safe spaces for families here in West Louisville, and reimagine deserted spaces into vibrant hubs for all generations.
I’m committed to reconnecting the neighborhoods that make up District 5, and to amplifying our rich, often ignored, history. I will work to lift the legacy of spaces like Fountain Ferry Park that were lost to racial injustice and build a future our elders dreamed of.
Finally, I will demand stronger community accountability by advancing policies that shift LMPD back to engaging with the people they serve. Safety comes not just from presence, but from connection.
This is not just a campaign. It’s a movement to restore, protect, and elevate District 5 for generations to come.
