Betty Joyce Williams is a justice of the Kings County Supreme Court (2nd Judicial District) in New York, New York. She was elected to this position on November 5, 2013, took office in January of 2014, and her current term expires in 2027.[1]

Education

Williams received her B.S. degree from the North Carolina Agricultural & Technical University in 1966, her M.S. degree from Columbia University in 1973 and her J.D. degree from the New York Law School in 1984.[2]

2013 election

Williams ran for election to the 2nd Judicial District Supreme Court. General: She was elected in the general election on November 5, 2013, with 20.6 percent of the vote. Ross Brady, Kevin A. Finnegan, Bernard Graham, Desmond Green, Dawn M. Jimenez-Salta, Mendy Mirocznik, Ilan Schoenberger and Kenneth Sherman were also on the ballot, competing for five open seats.[1][3][4]
