I am running for Scottsdale City Council. I am the co-founder of the Protect Our Preserve movement which ushered in the passage of PROP 420 with over 70% voter approval to stop commercial development in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. I am the past president of the Coalition of Greater Scottsdale that advocates for appropriate land use. I am running on a citizen friendly platform to stop zoning changes the result in taller, more massive development in Scottsdale that is opposed by the citizens. These developments are obstructing view corridors, open space and leading to massive problems with traffic. I am for thoughtful growth that citizens can support. I want to give citizens a voice at the table now controlled by developers.
  • I represent the citizens of Scottsdale.
  • I will make sure the General Plan currently being written represents the citizens' vision of Scottsdale.
  • I saved the Preserve from Commercial development, now let's do the same for our city.
Development opposed by the citizens.

Preservation of the charm of Scottsdale.
Excessive traffic with parking shortages.

Recovery from COVID following CDC guidelines.
All government is local. It represents the great citizens of Scottsdale and their vision for the city they love.
I respect my husband Joe. He rose from poverty to become a noted Pediatric Surgeon through hard work, deferred gratification and dedication to excellence. This is the American Dream.
Common sense, research information on project using objective criteria, strong analytical skills, relate well to people, find common ground
Strong family values, strong community
Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. Explains how brain works to form impressions. Though provoking.
none - I like who I am and what I have accomplished.
From a Distance by Bette Midler
Love the lyrics and message
Yes, it is important to be responsive to the citizens and respond to their calls, emails, etc.
Some experience is helpful. However, the current powers are corrupt representing developers instead of citizens and it is time for a change. The citizens paid $500,000 to reverse two recent City Council decisions on projects the citizens opposed - commercial development in the MSP and Southbridge 2 project.
