Betty Komp
Betty Komp (b. 1949) is a former Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 22 from 2005 to 2017. She previously served as Speaker Pro Tempore and as Assistant Majority Leader, Politics in 2013.
Komp did not seek re-election to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2016.
Betty Komp served on the Mount Angel School Board.
Biography
Komp attended Chemeketa Community College. She earned her bachelor's degree from Western Oregon University in 1990 and her M.A. from Western Oregon University in 1992. Her professional experience includes work as a teacher at Woodburn High School, as assistant principal at Woodburn High School and as principal of French Prairie Middle School.[1]

2014
Elections for the Oregon House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Betty Komp was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Matt Geiger was unopposed in the Republican primary. He also ran on the Independent party ticket. Thad Marney ran as a Libertarian candidate and Michael P. Marsh ran as a Constitution Party candidate. Komp defeated Geiger, Marney and Marsh in the general election.[7][8][9]
2012
Komp won re-election in the 2012 election for Oregon House of Representatives District 22. Komp was unopposed in the May 15 Democratic primary and defeated Kathy LeCompte (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[10][11][12]
