Betty Sanders
Betty Sanders was a judge for the Fourth Judicial District of Mississippi.[1] She was elected to the bench in 1994 as the first black judge to join the Mississippi Circuit Courts. Sanders did not seek re-election and retired from the bench when her term expired in 2014.[2][3][4]
Education
Sanders earned an undergraduate degree from Alcorn State University, going on to receive a graduate degree from Bowling Green State University. She later attended the University of Mississippi, from which she graduated with a J.D.[5]
