What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) To make the office of the Fort Bend District Clerk accessible to all the citizens of Fort Bend County

2) To use the office To advocate for citizen participation in serving on juries
3) To diversify the office so that the office is staffed with competent employees who mirror the population of Fort Bend County, Texas[2][3]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

Even though the District Clerk's office will not be involved in lawmaking or writing legislation, I am personally passionate about the right to free speech, the right to vote, and the right to privacy in our own homes.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I look up to my mother because she taught me by example how to love all humankind, to forgive, to give freely, and to love my enemies.[3]

I would recommend that everyone take a DNA test so that they can understand the "oneness" and "sameness" factor of mankind--making for a more peace loving society.[3]

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?
The death of John F. Kennedy I was 9 years old.[3]
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
My first student job was working in the post office at Texas A&M University. The job lasted through my first semester at college.[3]

I did not date. My Dad thought that dating would keep his children from being successful.[3]
What is your favorite holiday? Why?
Christmas because it is the day we celebrate Christ's birth.[3]
What is your favorite book? Why?
The Bible because it teaches us how to live correctly and how to love one another.[3]
If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?
I would want to be Walter Mitty so that I could check out of earth to my daydream world when there was no other escape from the load of everyday living.[3]
What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?
My favorite things are my piano and saxophone. I love to play music.[3]
What was the last song that got stuck in your head?
My favorite song is "I Am Everyday People" by Sly and the Family Stone. The song espouses a need for us to accept all people.[3]
What is something that has been a struggle in your life?
I grew up poor. My parents told me that I could have a better life if I went to college and graduated. I took them seriously. I have been to college three times and have graduated with three degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in Languages, A Master of Education in Counseling Psychology, and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in Law.[3]
What qualities does this office possess that makes it a unique and important part of the local government?
The position supports the district courts in the following areas: jury empaneling, case processing, clerical staffing, summons issuing. All of theses functions are an important part of local government.[3]
What responsibilities of this office do you personally consider the most important?
To encourage Fort Bend citizens to serve on juries.[3]
Are there any little-known powers or responsibilities held by this office that you believe more people should be aware of?
All of the responsibilities of this office are public.[3]
Do you believe that it’s beneficial for holders of this office to have previous experience in government or politics?
NO[3]
What kind of skills or expertise do you believe would be the most helpful for the holders of this office to possess?
1.To be able to speak more than one language. 2.To have a legal understanding of criminal and civil procedure 3. To be organized, tech savvy, and highly accountable 4. To understand the classification of the U.S. mail so that documents sent from the district clerk's office reach recipients timely and correctly, even if this means the office must invest in software that checks addresses[3]
